MY RUNNING MATE FOR LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR
Since 1978, the offices of governor and lieutenant governor have been required to run on the same ticket. Tom Clark has graciously supported me in this endeavor by volunteering to be my running mate. I have known him for years, and I know he is qualified and capable. He is truly one of the “best-of-the-best.” Please take the time to read his background and judge his qualifications for yourself.
“As a lifelong Buckeye, I have spent my nearly half century living in Southwest Ohio and in recent years, have witnessed the crumbling faith of our people in our political system. As a married man with five children and one grandchild, I have a vested interest in creating a better future for all Ohioans.
I have faithfully served as a public school educator for twenty-six years. I have served as a teacher, coach, athletic administrator, and alternative school coordinator. My career has included working for and with innumerable leaders who have helped me develop my own leadership style and charisma. My educational background includes a high school diploma from Trotwood-Madison High School (1972), Bachelor’s Degree (1976) and Master’s Degree (1981) in teaching multi-handicapped individuals from Wright State University. I have taught and coached in inner-city, suburban, and rural schools. These experiences have assisted me in developing an empathy for people as well as an admiration for those who have overcome seemingly insurmountable obstacles.
While it is obvious that I do not bring much political experience to the contest, it should be equally obvious that I bring a wealth of experience in solving problems, relating to people and their needs, and providing a leadership role for our state government. Help us re-establish the faith of Ohioans in their government.”
You see, we are not extraordinary people, just common folk like most Ohioans. We don’t want you to vote for two politicians, we want you to vote for all of us, the people of Ohio. With your help, we can restore power to the people and make Ohio a shining example of democracy!
Paid for by the Committee to elect Whitman and Clark.
